Madeline James has lived in Portland and Seattle most of her life and has been involved in art since childhood. Trained in oils, lithography, design, sculpture, and pottery, she is now concentrating her efforts primarily on watercolor. An avid gardener, she draws inspiration from her natural surroundings. Her travels to Europe, the Far East, the South Pacific, and South America have also influenced her work and her continued study of watercolor reflects her varied interests. She now has more time in her life to devote herself to her work and is beginning to exhibit in and around the Portland area. |
